"Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the Lord our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:"
Just amazes me, that they could ask a prophet what the Lord says, and then tell him he's wrong. Had Jeremiah ever prophesied wrong before? No. So why would he be wrong now? Why would they even risk it? Doesn't make sense to me. But, then again some people think the prophet is wrong today. When you think you know better than a prophet, or seek to counsel him, then that would be pretty prideful. You're standing on dangerous ground.
