Today's Favorite Verse: Jeremiah 32:27

"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?"

I pondered on this question and if there was anything in my life that I thought was to hard for the Lord to handle for me? I have to acknowledge how small my problems are compared to His ability to create the universe, and all the miracles he has performed. I thought about the times throughout the day that I asked for His help. Nothing is to hard for Him or to small from Him. I think one thing I have learned over the years is to catch things when they are small so I have the guidance I need to take care of them.

Today's Favorite Verse: Psalms 126:3

"The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad."

I thought about how great things can also be very small and simple things. It's all in the eye of the beholder.

"And there was also written upon them a new writing, which was plain to be read, which did give us understanding concerning the ways of the Lord; and it was written and changed from time to time, according to the faith and diligence which we gave unto it. And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things."

(1 Nephi 16:29)

"Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."

(Alma 37:6)

Today's Favorite Verse: Exodus 23:28-30

"And I will send hornets before thee, which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee.

I will not drive them out from before thee in one year; lest the land become desolate, and the beast of the field multiply against thee.

By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, until thou be increased, and inherit the land."

A simple hornet was a tool the Lord used to bring Israel into the land. It made me think of Alma 37:6 "Now ye may suppose that this is foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise."

Faith and patience was what the Israel needed in order for a small thing to literally accomplish something great. The Lord really does have a better way, and a better plan. By the time the others left the land, Israel had increased enough to inherit it. So while I patiently wait on the Lord's timing, I have to prepare for the promised blessing, and do what he wants me to do.
