Today's Favorite Verse: Doctrine & Covenants 48:1

 Today's Favorite Verse: Doctrine & Covenants 48:1

"It is necessary that ye should remain for the present time in your places of abode, as it shall be suitable to your circumstances."

This verse made me smile, considering the pandemic and new emergency order implemented today. I have been so blessed that all that has been asked of me is not a burden. Instead of expecting my circumstances to be adjusted to fit me, my attitude has naturally adjusted to fit my circumstances. It was also a blessing to spend 18 months prior to this pandemic in a wheelchair. What I learned about patience prepared me for a pandemic. I see both of these things as tender mercies of the Lord.

Today's Favorite Verse: Psalms 145:9

Today's Favorite Verse: Psalms 145:9
"The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works."

I've been watching the search and rescue efforts of the 12 boys and their coach from the cave in Thailand. How many prayers have been said in their behalf, and yet we do not all pray to the same God. I have pondered on how God is good to all even if they do not know him. In his tender mercies he will make sure that the fullness of his gospel is given to all, if not in this life then in the next.
