Today's Favorite Verse: Luke 23:23

Today's Favorite Verse: Luke 23:23
"And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed."

This made me reflect on how the voice of the people, especially when prevailed upon by wicked leaders leads to destruction. It was in 70 AD that Jerusalem fell because they had crucified their King. It's not hard to see the voice of people being led by wicked leaders doing the same thing to us today.

"Now it is not common that the voice of the people desireth anything contrary to that which is right; but it is common for the lesser part of the people to desire that which is not right; therefore this shall ye observe and it your law - to do your business by the voice of the people.
And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgements of God will come upon you; yea, then is the time he will visit you with great destruction even as he has hitherto visited this land."
(Mosiah 29:26-27)
