Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Nephi 6:7, 13

Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Nephi 6:7, 13
"And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and their queens thy nursing mothers; they shall bow down to thee with their faces towards the earth, and lick up the dust of thy feet; and thou shalt know that I am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me.
Wherefore, they that fight against Zion and the covenant people of the Lord shall lick up the dust of their feet; and the people of the Lord shall not be ashamed. For the people of the Lord are they who wait for him; for they still wait for the coming of the Messiah."

The word that stood out to me was "ashamed". We will not be ashamed if we are waiting for the coming of the Lord. I thought about everything that we do from going to sacrament, reading scriptures, obeying the word of wisdom, paying tithings, serving missions. All the good things we have been asked or commanded to do. Things that the world could mock and try to make us feel ashamed for believing that they make any difference in the world will find how important it really was. We are putting oil in our lamps and will be ready when the bridegroom comes.
