Today's Favorite Verse: Isaiah 63:1-3

Today's Favorite Verse: Isaiah 63:1-3
"Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment."

This made me wonder about all the places that mention the Savior coming in red apparel.

"Binding his foal unto the vine, and his ass’s colt unto the choice vine; he washed his garments in wine, and his clothes in the blood of grapes:
His eyes shall be red with wine, and his teeth white with milk."
(Genesis 49:11-12)

"And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."
(Revelation 19:13-15)

"When he shall deliver up the kingdom, and present it unto the Father, spotless, saying: I have overcome and have trodden the wine-press alone, even the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God."
(Doctrine and Covenants 76:107)

"And it shall be said: Who is this that cometh down from God in heaven with dyed garments; yea, from the regions which are not known, clothed in his glorious apparel, traveling in the greatness of his strength?47 And he shall say: I am he who spake in righteousness, mighty to save.48 And the Lord shall be red in his apparel, and his garments like him that treadeth in the wine-vat."
(Doctrine and Covenants 133:46-48)

After all this searching on Christ coming in red apparel I read something about the red heifer.

"This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring thee a red heifer without spot, wherein is no blemish, and upon which never came yoke:
And ye shall give her unto Eleazar the priest, that he may bring her forth without the camp, and one shall slay her before his face:
And Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, and sprinkle of her blood directly before the tabernacle of the congregation seven times:"
(Numbers 19:2-4)

I know there are those that think the Jews need to make an offering with a red heifer before Christ comes. The law of Moses is done away with so that has never made sense to me. As I read about the red heifer and sprinkling the blood, it sure seems like the Savior treading the winepress and staining his garments red.
