Today's Favorite Verse: Genesis 14:22-23
"And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,
That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take anything that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:"
Abram was rich, and very blessed of the Lord, and he knew that is the source of where it came from. When he heard Lot was taken captive he and his trained servants fought to bring them back. He would not take of the spoils of war because he covenanted with God not to. It meant of lot to him that no one would say they made Abram rich. He sets a great example of how we should behave and recognize the source of the blessings we receive.
