Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Samuel 14:25-26

Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Samuel 14:25-26
"But in all Israel there was none to be so much praised as Absalom for his beauty: from the sole of his foot even to the crown of his head there was no blemish in him.
And when he polled his head, (for it was at every year’s end that he polled it: because the hair was heavy on him, therefore he polled it:) he weighed the hair of his head at two hundred shekels after the king’s weight."

If find it curious that pointing out Absalom being praised for his beauty and his thick head of hair a very curious way to describe someone. He killed his brother and fled, now he wants to be into his father's good graces. So he burns his friend's field to get him to approach his father. Something just sounds rather off about his character. I couldn't spot anything on him being remorseful or showing any concern for others.
