Today's Favorite Verse: Mosiah 2:28
"I say unto you that I have caused that ye should assemble yourselves together that I might rid my garments of your blood, at this period of time when I am about to go down to my grave, that I might go down in peace, and my immortal spirit may join the choirs above in singing the praises of a just God."
As I read king Benjamin's words I wondered if President Nelson has rid his garments of our blood? King Benjamin spoken to his people near the end of his life. Three years after this he passed away. President Nelson will turn 100 next month, and each day is precious. I recalled one talked that seemed a little different than most since he became the prophet. It was in the Oct 2023 general conference where he told us to "Think Celestial!" and rid ourselves of addictions like gaming, gambling, debt, drugs, alcohol, anger, pornography, sex and even food. He spoke of the law of chastity and moral purity.
"And if you have been unchaste, I plead with you to repent. Come unto Christ and receive His promise of complete forgiveness as you fully repent of your sins."
He warned us of the adversary's deceptions, and not to question our testimonies. He spoke of the faith to pay a full tithing. He called us to repent, and to spend more time in the temple. As I reviewed this talk I thought about how President Nelson has faithfully rid his garments of our blood.
