Today's Favorite Verse: Doctrine & Covenants 105:5-6
"And Zion cannot be built up unless it is by the principles of the law of the celestial kingdom; otherwise I cannot receive her unto myself.
And my people must needs be chastened until they learn obedience, if it must needs be, by the things which they suffer.
As I read about the saints being expelled from Missouri, and Zion's Camp, I thought about how this was no accident. The Lord knew more time was needed before the saints would be ready for all that they could be blessed with. What they didn't understand yet was the blessings that come from temple ordinances. There were many other things as a church and people that we needed to learn and go through. Nothing is an accident, the Lord knows best how to prepare His people. Even this pandemic has been a time of chastening and learning obedience. There is just so much for us to learn and suffering not only chastens but it teaches, and prepares.
