Today's Favorite Verse: Esther 6:1, 13

Today's Favorite Verse: Esther 6:1, 13
"On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him."

God's hand is in the details of our lives. First king Ahasuerus cannot sleep. It was meant for him to command the book of records to be read before him. Then it could be brought to his remembrance that nothing was done for Mordecai to honor him for saving his life. Which stops Haman in his tracks from requesting of the king permission to hang Mordecai. Now he is asked to honor Mordecai with the very things Haman thought he was suggesting for himself. When Mordecai arrives home and tells his wife and friends what had befallen him, they predict that once he has begun to fall from someone that is of the seed of the Jews he will not prevail, and will surely fall before him.

I pondered on how the Lord is in the details and the timing of all things is in his hands if we trust in Him.
