Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Chronicles 8:11
"And Solomon brought up the daughter of Pharaoh out of the city of David unto the house that he had built for her: for he said, My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places are holy, whereunto the ark of the LORD hath come."
This appears to be the first example of Solomon marrying outside of the faith. It's sad that she cannot dwell where the temple, and ark of the Lord are because they are holy and she is not a believer. What does that say about a person that considers his wife a heathen and not proper to dwell in a holy place. I pondered on the importance of marrying in the faith otherwise in time they will pull you away from yours. This is exactly what happens to Solomon in the end. In all his wisdom he was not wise in this.
