Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Chronicles 11:14-16

Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Chronicles 11:14-16
"For the Levites left their suburbs and their possession, and came to Judah and Jerusalem: for Jeroboam and his sons had cast them off from executing the priest’s office unto the LORD:
And he ordained him priests for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made.
And after them out of all the tribes of Israel such as set their hearts to seek the LORD God of Israel came to Jerusalem, to sacrifice unto the LORD God of their fathers."

What a contrast between Israel ruled by Jerobaom and Judah ruled by Rehoboam. It was best that the priest's left otherwise they would have been forced into idolatry. I pondered on the need to stand in holy places. Even if we have to leave where we are to get there.

"Behold, it is my will, that all they who call on my name, and worship me according to mine everlasting gospel, should gather together, and stand in holy places;"
