Today's Favorite Verse: Jeremiah 49:39
"But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD."
There was a similar verse in the last chapter that said it would bring again the captivity of Moab in the latter days. I wanted to understand what the meant. In the Old Testament Student Manual it said it means their conversion. When I looked at other translations of the bible it refers to restoration or return. Some refer to that as being fortunes. Others that they are restored from captivity. Knowing that the gospel will be take to all the world in the latter days I would think it means it will be taken to their descendants too.
