Today's Favorite Verse: Alma 3:8

Today's Favorite Verse: Alma 3:8
"And this was done that their seed might be distinguished from the seed of their brethren, that thereby the Lord God might preserve his people, that they might not mix and believe in incorrect traditions which would prove their destruction."

I pondered on how the law of Moses had outward signs and observances. In a way just like the Nephites had an outward sign of who they should and shouldn't mix with. Now I can no longer physically identify someone by their race or skin, if they are for or against the Lord. That means this quote from President Nelson is of even greater importance. I will not know who could be a wolf in sheep's clothing unless I have the spirit as my guide.

"In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost."
(President Russell M. Nelson, "Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives", April 2018 General Conference)
