Today's Favorite Verse: Isaiah 40:8
"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."
The world is the grass and flowers that look so beautiful for a season. Then the heat comes and they fade and go away. All is dry and burnt. So are we if we do not continually nourish ourselves with the word of God, or stay on His covenant path. For His word will forever stand, and be an anchor to us. It will help us endure through the dry spells and rough seasons of our lives, and the burning at His coming.
