Today's Favorite Verse: Joshua 9:3-4, 16

Today's Favorite Verse: Joshua 9:3-4, 16
"And when the inhabitants of Gibeon heard what Joshua had done unto Jericho and to Ai,
They did work wilily, and went and made as if they had been ambassadors, and took old sacks upon their asses, and wine bottles, old, and rent, and bound up;
And it came to pass at the end of three days after they had made a league with them, that they heard that they were their neighbours, and that they dwelt among them."

Wilily = craftily, with cunning.

I thought about how even though the men of Gibeon had tried to deceive the Israelites, the Lord made sure they were exposed. It made me think of this -

"Verily, thus saith the Lord unto you—there is no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper;
And if any man lift his voice against you he shall be confounded in mine own due time."
(Doctrine and Covenants 71:9-10)
