"And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing."
I have family scriptures every day. Afterwards we usually stay and talk together and discuss the world events and how we see them as signs of our times. Where examples from the scriptures fit different situations being faced today. We had a discussion on how various Christians are going through persecutions. How much do we say and when do we stand up for our beliefs. I felt impressed to say just go about your business. Don't draw attention to yourself. We don't pick the battle the Lord does. But when you speak be honest. Someones calls you narrow minded, just agree with them that you are narrow mind, because straight is the gate and narrow is the way.
I found it so interesting that after this family discussion I see today in my scripture reading the very thing we are to do. Be quiet, go about your own business, and be honest. Part of being honest is to be loyal to our God. We can never stop living our religion and our worship of Him. Even the works of our own hands should honor what he has commanded. If any battles are to be fought stay on the Lords side. Even if you look like you lost you really won.
