Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 23:11
"And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome."
Paul obviously was in need of comfort. I imagine somewhat depressed in his condition. The Lord appears to him and the comfort he gives is "thou bear witness also at Rome". Paul knew his life was not over, there was hope. We can act as the Savior did to others that are down trodden and give them hope and things to look forward to. That there is purpose in our being.
