Today's Favorite Verse: 1 Samuel 19:18, 20

Today's Favorite Verse: 1 Samuel 19:18, 20
"So David fled, and escaped, and came to Samuel to Ramah, and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and dwelt in Naioth.
And Saul sent messengers to take David: and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as appointed over them, the Spirit of God was upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied."

Saul wants to kill David and the one place David could flee for safety was to Samuel the prophet. Every messenger that Saul sent to take David would have the Spirit of God come over them and they would prophesize. This made me ponder on the power of the priesthood and the protect given when we stay close to the prophet of God. Maybe in times of trouble I won't be able to physically run and hide where the prophet is. But, staying close to his counsel and advise will allow the Spirit of God to be with me. As we are close to the spirit and seek to do God's will the designs of evil men can be turned away.
