Today's Favorite Verse: 1 Corinthians 3:19-20
"For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain."
The footnote for vain is deceptive, fruitless. I thought about how man can dig a pit for his neighbor and then fall into it. They think they are wise but when they fall into their own pit of craftiness they are as fools. The world may not still see them as fools, but with spiritual eyes you can see it as plain as day. We have examples of this happening right in front of our faces. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20) I love how the Lord and His Church is always two steps ahead of the world in its foolishness.
