Today's Favorite Verse: Proverbs 18:13, 15
"He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.
The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge."
Coming to a conclusion before we have all the facts is folly and will bring shame. It is so important, especially in the times we live in, to make sure we have truth. Seeking knowledge and truth is vital.
"But, behold, I say unto you, that you must study it out in your mind; then you must ask me if it be right, and if it is right I will cause that your bosom shall burn within you; therefore, you shall feel that it is right."
(Doctrine and Covenants 9:8)
If we are to walk with the spirit always to be with us we must study things out in our minds before the spirit can guide us in if it be truth or error.
