Today's Favorite Verse: Ezekiel 19:12-13
"But she was plucked up in fury, she was cast down to the ground, and the east wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods were broken and withered; the fire consumed them.
And now she is planted in the wilderness, in a dry and thirsty ground."
This is the state of Israel after turning their back on the Lord and being led away captive. Now they must thirst for living water for they have none. Sometimes what you didn't find desirable becomes desirable when you no longer have it. I think this is part of the reason the Lord lets them suffer for a season.
