Today's Favorite Verse: 1 Chronicles 7:40
"All these were the children of Asher, heads of their father's house, choice and mighty men of valour, chief of the princes. And the number throughout the genealogy of them that were apt to the war and to battle was twenty and six thousand men."
This chapter goes over the sons and families of Issachar, Benjamin, Naphtali, Manasseh, Ephraim, and Asher. I was really struck with how many times it mentions they were valiant men of might. It made me think of the military families in my day. How generations of men will follow in their father's footsteps and serve in the military. What a blessing it is to nations to have such men.
