"There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked."
So many thoughts came into my mind as I read this chapter. So much to ponder on, but this is the one to share. This is the simple truth to be understood. Wickedness never was happiness. (Alma 41:10) There is no peace to those that sin against God. Oh, the devil will say sin a little, lie a little, take advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for your neighbor; there is no harm in this; (2 Nephi 28:8), for the ends will justify the means. For it is what we want that is right in the end. The devil cheateth their souls and carefully leads them down to hell. (2 Nephi 28:21) They are never satisfied, for their souls are never filled. That is why Jesus said to drink of living water and you will never thirst. (John 4:14)
When the soul is not satisfied there is no peace. There is no comfort, for things are only fleeting. There is no anchor for the soul. It is the soul that is filled with light that has a peace without understanding. There is peace in Christ.
