Today's Favorite Verse: Psalms 116:15
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints."
Why would that be precious I wondered? It is because a saint is coming home to him. They are prepared to meet Him. They have endured the trials and test of life and are prepare to enter into His rest. I would think it would grieve the Father for one that is unprepared to come home, but come home they must. For Paul said:
"O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law."
(1 Corinthians 15:55-56)
There are great promises for those that die in the Lord.
"And I head a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them."
(Revelations 14:13)
"And it shall come to pass that those that die in me shall not taste of death, for it shall be sweet unto them."
(Doctrine and Covenants 42:46)
