"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God:"
Paul speaks of father Abraham and his wife Sarah at an old age giving birth. It made me go back to that story in the old testament. I pondered on the difference between promised blessings and hope for a blessing. I also pondered on the Lord's timing of such blessings, and his will to bless or not.
"Is any thing to hard for the Lord? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, an Sarah shall have a son."
(Genesis 18:14)
Nothing is to hard for the Lord. I would imagine no's are pretty hard too. Just like it takes faith to act and believe in what was promised. It takes faith to believe and act when the answer in faith was no. Both situations require glory being given to God. He knows which is best in our lives.
