"Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them."
So my thought while reading this was "Are people accountable if they don't see or hear and understand what was said to them?" As I was pondering on that question I realized the answer was already there. They by their own doing closed their eyes and ears from truth, basically rejecting it. They would be accountable for the closing. What they missed in a way is immaterial. What the could have heard and enjoyed would be the blessing that they missed.
