"The word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
Arise, and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words."
After being obedient to what Jeremiah had been told, he went to the the potter's house and observed. He watched one vessel become marred in the potter's hand and then the potter made another and it was good. Then the Lord spoke to Jeremiah again. I pondered on how important it is to be obedient to what I am first told, even if it makes no sense. Seriously going to a potter's house is not typically where someone would think to hear the word of the Lord. Yet as we come to know the voice of the Lord and how he teaches, we understand how he uses things we are familiar with for instruction.
