Today's Favorite Verse: Nehemiah 3:1
"Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Meah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananeel."
This chapter lists all the people that are repairing Jerusalem. I wondered why their names and what they repaired would be listed? When a temple is built today do I see the names of all of those that worked on it? Then I realized that any work for the Lord is recorded in heaven. Every name is important and he won't forget them. Who am I to mock the importance of their work, for every contribution and effort is important to the Lord. This list became very holy seeing it with new eyes.
