Today's Favorite Verse: Esther 4:13-14
"Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king's house, more than all the Jews.
For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
I pondered over Esther's choices. She goes into the inner court to the king not invited and that can mean death. She says nothing and the Lord will find another way to deliver the Jews and she is destroyed. No wonder she says after asking others to fast for three days and nights with her, before going before that king, that "if I perish, I perish". She knows this is completely in the Lord's hands what is done to her. That is total submission to God's will. I pondered on how it is exactly when we "come to the kingdom for such a time as this". Everyone was placed on earth with a mission to complete. The timing of our arrival is divinely appointment by God. None of us know what mission we are to accomplished. It is only by seeking His will, and submitting to whatever comes, that our moment comes. Doesn't mean it was as recognizable as Esther's moment. It just means we helped in someway to further's the Lord's work upon the earth. Our life has meaning and that echoes into the eternities. It may not be until the next life that we see how important our actions really were.
