Today's Favorite Verse: Joshua 18:1
"And the whole congregation of the children of Israel assembled together at Shiloh, and set up the tabernacle of the congregation there. And the land was subdued before them."
One of the definitions of subdued is "to bring (land) under cultivation". It made me sit and ponder on how I have seen land around the temples flourish and bloom, and populations build up when they are there. There was hardly anything here in American Fork when our temple was first built. Since then the area has grown. I sat and pondered on how Israel probably experienced the same thing when their tabernacle that served as a temple found a resting place.
