Today's Favorite Verse: Joshua 13:1
"Now Joshua was old and stricken in years; and the Lord said unto him, Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet very much land to be possessed."
Joshua becomes old and stricken in years and yet his call as a prophet is not done. There was still much for him to do. It made me sit and ponder on our prophet Thomas S. Monson now in his advancing years. God does not call a prophet home to his rest until he has completed what he needed to do. I pray every day that President Monson will have the strength needed to carry out his work. I am sure it has to be hard on a prophet when they have become old and frail. It is the prayers of the saints that help sustain them. I am sure Israel was praying for Joshua at this time too.
