Today's Favorite Verse: Exodus 16:2, 8

Today's Favorite Verse: Exodus 16:2, 8
"And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.
And Moses said, This shall be, when the Lord shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the Lord heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord."

I pondered on how speaking ill of my church leaders, those called of God to their positions, is actually murmuring against the Lord. The children of Israel may have appeared to be murmuring again Moses and Aaron, but the Lord saw it another way. They were murmuring against those chosen of the Lord and anointed to act in his name. They were His representatives here on the earth. To murmur against them was to offend God just the same. How serious it is to murmur against the Lord's anointed. That has the earmarks of apostasy.
