"But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."
This was the last testimony given by Stephen before he was martyred. I pondered on how merciful God was to give him this vision. It would strengthen him to endure what was to come. The peace it must have given Stephen to call upon the Lord to receive his spirit even in the midst of his final moments on earth. His only fear was God. His sins would have been forgiven for the testimony he bore.
"Nevertheless, ye are bless, for the testimony which ye have borne is recorded in heaven for the angels to look upon; and they rejoice over you, and your sins are forgiven you."
