Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 13:42, 46

Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 13:42, 46
"And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that the words might be preached to them the next sabbath.
Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judged yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles."

I had wondered why the apostles and disciples of Jesus Christ were preaching in the synagogues of the Jews when obviously it upset many of them. They were rejecting Christ.  Now I realize it was what they had to do. The gospel had to be preached to the Jews first. Then when the Jews fully rejected it the prophesy would be fulfilled. The word now went to the gentiles.
