Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 16:25
"And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them."
In this chapter Paul is directed by the spirit on where he needs to preach the gospel. At one point the multitude rises up against them. They are beaten and cast into prison. From there Paul and Silas devotion to the Lord are heard by others. Then an earthquake hits and the prison doors are open and everyone's band come loose. Yet, the prisoners did not flee. The keeper of the prison then asks Paul and Silas, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" Upon hearing the word of the Lord, he and his household are converted, baptized and care for Paul and Silas. I pondered on how terrible things happened to Paul and Silas, but it was all so they would be in the right place at the right time to preach the gospel to the keeper of the prison. How when we endure and stay strong in our faith it is the testimony that most influences others. In fact it's why we had to pass through it.
