Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 15:2, 6, 23, 28

Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 15:2, 6, 23, 28
"When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.
And the apostles and elders came together for to consider of this matter.
And they wrote letters by them after this manner; The apostles and elders and brethren send greeting unto the brethren which are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia:
For it seems good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;"

I pondered on how the process of answering doctrinal questions that came up in the primitive church is the same in the restored Church of Jesus Chris today. It is taken to the prophet and apostles and is discussed. Unity comes on the matter through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost and revelation from God. A process of both reason and faith for obtaining the mind and will of the Lord. Then a letter from the First Presidency is sent to the members on the matter.
