Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 12:17, 23

Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 12:17, 23
"But he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.
And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost."

In these two versions they show the difference between Peter giving glory to God on his escape from prison, and Herod being called a God by the people and not acknowledging any difference. It is better to confess God's hand in all things. It really isn't that hard to do.

"In nothing doth man offend God, or against none is his wrath kindled, save those who confess not his hand in all things, and obey not his commandments."
(Doctrine and Covenants 59:21)
