Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 18:24-25, 28

Today's Favorite Verse: Acts 18:24-25, 28
"And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures,. came to Ephesus.
This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.

Apollos was mighty in scriptures but only knew of John the Baptist. I love how Aquila and Priscilla upon hearing him "expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly". He embraced it and and now was mighty in showing in the scriptures Jesus Christ. It made me think of how the gospel can always give us more. We don't take away from what people know, we add to it.
