"Man is like a vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away."
It made me ponder on history and how many speak from the dust. There are lessons to learn from history, yet man does not seem to learn. The problems of history repeat themselves. Why is that? Then I realized that man may not learn from history, but his saints will. God's holy scriptures are here to learn and to grown from. If we are not vain enough to think we do not need them. Each man in his own time will pass away, but then we stand before God and account for it. It maybe a shadow in time, but it will mark the eternities.
