Today's Favorite Verse: Judges 17:6

Today's Favorite Verse: Judges 17:6
"In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes."

I sat thinking that I wouldn't want to live in such a period. Then I realized in a way I already do. Society as a whole no longer worships the ultimate King. When man rejects the boundaries of God or become laws unto themselves, there is chaos. Peace has left the earth. It's interesting that this chapter speaks of money and silver, and the making and worshiping of idols. Micah even purchases a priest. So he's basically trying to buy the favors of all the gods out there. Israel is in an utter state of apostasy and priestcraft is had among its people. I pondered on the great apostasy after Christ's apostles left the earth. How Christ's Church has been restored and is upon the earth once more. Yet, the world as a whole is still in a state of apostasy, if they have not heard or accepted it. Both conditions can be present at the same time.
