Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Kings 10:30-31

Today's Favorite Verse: 2 Kings 10:30-31
"And the Lord said unto Jehu, Because thou hast done well in executing that which is right in mine eyes, and hast done unto the house of Ahab according to all that was in mine heart, thy children of the fourth generation shall sit on the throne of Israel.
But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart: for he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam, which made Israel to sin."

I really don't get this chapter. Rather bloody with the severing of seventy sons of Ahab's heads. Then gathering all the worshippers of Baal together and killing them. I totally get what they were doing was wrong and had been warned of the cleansing long before it came. The Lord used Jehu as the tool to fulfill that promise. What I guess I don't understand is how Jehu now would dare to not walk in the ways of the Lord afterwards. All I can think is that somehow Jehu went beyond the mark of what the Lord required.  He does appear to be a rather bloodthirsty man. He lost his heart with his zeal.
