Today's Favorite Verse: 1 Kings 8:54

Today's Favorite Verse: 1 Kings 8:54
"And it was so, that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication unto the Lord, he arose from before the altar of the Lord, from kneeling on his knees with his hands spread up to heaven."

As I was reading this it sure reminded me of a temple dedicatory prayer. Such marvelous spiritual and temporal blessings promised. So many warnings and protect and promises. Things were a little different for they were still practicing the Mosaic Law. Before the dedication they sacrificed so many sheep and oxen, that it could not be told or numbered for the multitude. After the dedicatory prayer Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offering to the Lord with 22,000 oxen, and 120,000 sheep. I cannot even imagine that scene. Would not the priest just be dripping in blood. Covered as if from every pore like Christ himself before his ultimate sacrifice.
