"And they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory.
And the inhabitant of this isle shall say in that day, Behold, such is our expectation, whither we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria: and how shall we escape?"
I pondered on "How shall we escape?" There is no place of security for the children of God when they seek comfort or protection from other nations. If they do not turn to the Lord there will be no escape. This is the warning Isaiah gave to them in 711 BC. This is a warning for our day.
