Today's Favorite Verse: Alma 45:1
Behold, now it came to pass that the people of Nephi were exceedingly rejoiced, because the Lord had again delivered them out of the hands of their enemies; therefore they gave thanks unto the Lord their God; yea, and they did fast much and pray much, and they did worship God with exceedingly great joy."
When I read this verse I realized that when I have been so grateful for the Lord's blessings I have never thought to fast in gratitude. I have said prayers of thanks but never fasted for thanks. I should do that. I think nothing of fasting when I need blessings. It seems so fitting now to fast for the joy of what I have received.
