"Thou shalt daily prepare a burnt offering unto the Lord of a lamb of the first year without blemish: thou shalt prepare it every morning."
That was a lot of lambs. In Exodus it was two lambs every day, one in the morning and one at night. It made me think of the shepherds watching over their flocks, the temple flocks when the angel appears to them announcing Christ's birth. I reflected on how Ezekiel is told by the Lord the ordinances of worship and sacrifice but he didn't tell him how to manage the volume of lambs and other animals and where to get them from. That was left up to them to figure out. It's really like programs in the church. They point and lead us to ordinances but the program itself is not outlined by the Lord. He delegates that to his prophets. Who then receives revelation when corrections are needed to best lead us to ordinances.
