Today's Favorite Verse: Daniel 8:24-25

Today's Favorite Verse: Daniel 8:24-25
"And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy man: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand."

The vision that Daniel had will not be fulfilled until the end times. Which probably means we won't understand it completely until it is fulfilled. Rather scary to think of the man with all this power that is obviously anti-Christ and a worker of secret combinations. It is incomprehensible for someone to "destroy wonderfully" and "by peace", his target being the mighty and holy people. No wonder Daniel was made sick after this vision. He had experienced people affected by the king's "policy" which caused people to celebrate, yet led to certain death for many. I would think that for saints to survive these times you would need the faith of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego.
