Today's Favorite Verse - Acts 4:13-14

Today's favorite verse: Acts 4:13-14
"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it."

The leaders took Peter and John and put them in a hold over night and then questioned them on how they had healed the man crippled since birth. I love this verse because it reminds me that the Lord makes the simple things of this earth strong.

The Lord could not work with the men that thought because of their positions and learning among the people, they would be the ones Christ would appear to. Instead His disciplines were humble fisherman, the uneducated and of no importance to their fellowman. The Lord looks upon our hearts and not our positions. He makes weak things strong. I pondered upon our dear missionaries, young men and women 18-19 years old. After only a few weeks at the MTC they are able to go throughout the world to preach His gospel. Its the spirit that converts people and not their knowledge. It's such a marvelous thing that the Lord's work is done by the simple people of this world.

(I fixed the recording of which days I am on in Facebook.)
