"Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart."
David is speaking of the judgment come upon them. Why do these things happen? It is to turn our hearts to God. Only he knows where my heart is. There is nothing that can be hid or kept secret from Him. He knows what is best for me to experience so I can totally give my heart to Him. I am tried and tested and learn from each opportunity. With gratitude unmeasured I am grateful for this gift called life and for Christ's atonement that heals the broken heart.
